What this tool does
Plots two joint-angle time series against each other to reveal coordination patterns across the movement cycle. Everything runs locally in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
Step by step
- Load data — track two or more angle annotations in Analyse and click Angle-Angle, or upload a CSV with one column per angle (one row per frame).
- Pick axes — choose which angle goes on X and which on Y; use Swap axes to flip them.
- Colour by time — the dark-to-light gradient shows movement direction through the cycle.
- Detect cycles — segment the data into cycles using local minima of the X-axis signal and overlay them; adjust the minimum cycle length if segmentation is off.
- Read the stats — ROM for each angle, common frame count, and the mean coupling angle.
Tips
- Coupling angle is the mean vector-coding angle between consecutive points: 0°/180° = in-phase, 90°/270° = anti-phase.
- Filtering is off by default. When enabled it is applied to both angle series before plotting.
- Export the plot as PNG, the aligned data as CSV, or send the figures to the Data Dashboard.
